Women's leadership and political Participation projects
With FFC’s support, the organization ELAIES successfully implemented a project to manage and prevent electoral conflicts in the larger Kinshasa area. ELAIES began by building the capacity of 30 women and girls on conflict resolution during elections resulting in the establishment of six Election Peace Committees.
Fight against sexual violence and gender based violence
FFC supported the Wapandaji Project. Girl-led, local girls decided to band together to fight sexual violence in Kalemi, Tanganyika Province.
Climate justice and environment protection
Through FFC’s support, 32 women-run households in urban and rural areas implemented a project to promote access to renewable energy in Turunga, North Kivu Province.
Women's Empowerment
The organization, Union of People with Disabilities (SPHGN), with FFC support, led a project focused on entrepreneurship for women living with disabilities in the rural area of Oicha, North Kivu Province. SPHGN trained 60 women with disabilities how to manage micro-loans.
Conflict transformation
FFC backed the successful departure of 14 young people from armed groups. Through an awareness campaign organized by SYFUDR, 10 youth from the Nande Community and four youth from the Hutu Community chose to lay down their arms and seek reintegration.
Access to natural resources and land rights
FFC organized numerous workshops on women’s rights to own land and financed projects to help facilitate women’s access to land and to natural resources.
